Teachings of Guru Nanak Dev Ji…

happyalways

“For each and every person, our Lord and Master provides sustenance. Why are you so afraid, O mind? The flamingos fly hundreds of miles, leaving their young ones behind. Who feeds them, and who teaches them to feed themselves? Have you ever thought of this in your mind?”

“The Enlightened God-conscious person takes delight in doing good deeds for others. The God-conscious being acts for the common good.

The world is a drama, staged in a dream.

Emotional attachment to Maayaa (the illusion that appears to be real) is totally painful, this is a bad bargain.”

“Owing to ignorance of the rope the rope appears to be a snake; owing to ignorance of the Self the transient state arises of the individualized, limited, phenomenal aspect of the Self.”

“Even Kings and emperors with heaps of wealth and vast dominion cannot compare with an ant filled with the love of God.

“There is but One God, His name is Truth, He is the Creator, He fears none, he is without hate, He never dies, He is beyond the cycle of births and death, He is self illuminated, He is realized by the kindness of the True Guru. He was True in the beginning, He was True when the ages commenced and has ever been True, He is also True now.”

“As fragrance abides in the flower
As reflection is within the mirror
So does your Lord abide within you,
Why search for Him without?”

“Death would not be called bad, O people, if one knew how to truly die.”

Dwell in peace in the home of your own being, and the Messenger of Death will not be able to touch you.”

    Hari Aum,
    Swami-ji

Guru Nanak’s teachings for us from this article is all about real life circumstances.
This teaching “Emotional attachment to Maayaa (the illusion that appears to be real) is totally painful, this is a bad bargain”, is very important. In matters of close relationships, due to our own emotional attachment, When we get hurt, it is very painful. This article is a good guide for me for my life ahead.

Swami-ji your blessings are always with me and my family.
