On Errors and Mistakes…

“Mistakes are a fact of life. It is the response to error that counts.” — Nikki Giovanni

We have a right to commit mistakes, but we have no right to repeat the same mistake again. We may commit a new mistake.

“To err is human, but when the eraser wears out ahead of the pencil, we are overdoing it.” — Josh Jenkins

“To err is human; to persist in error is devilish.” — S Augustine

“Never make the same mistake twice.
There are so many new ones.
Try a different one each day.”

“Never making a mistake does not make us perfect. Never repeating a mistake (after we learn from it) is as perfect as we need to be.” — Tae Yun Kim

“A man must be big enough to admit his mistakes, smart enough to profit from them and strong enough to correct them.” — John C Maxwell

“Don’t be afraid to ask dumb questions… That’s easier to handle than dumb mistakes.” — Derric Johnson

“When you make the biggest mistake ever, something good comes of it.”

“If you have made mistakes, even serious ones, there is always another chance for you. What we call failure is not the falling down, but the staying down.” — Mary Pickford

Falling down is part of life. There is nothing wrong in falling down. But there’s everything wrong in not getting up. Bounce back instantly, like a rubber ball the moment it hits the ground. Getting back up, is living.

“Never to have committed any mistake means never to have tried anything new.” — Albert Einstein

“Learn from the mistakes of others… you can’t live long enough to make them all yourselves!!” — Chanakya

“It takes less time to do a thing right than explain why you did it wrong.” — Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Actually, there are no mistakes in life, only lessons. There is no such thing as a negative experience, only opportunities to grow, learn and advance along the road of self-mastery. From struggle comes strength. Even pain can be a wonderful teacher.

“Everyone makes blunders. Only the spiritually inclined can turn them into knowledge for progress. Spiritual advancement comes from improving one’s behavior. It comes from learning from one’s mistakes. Mistakes are wonderful opportunities to learn.” — Bodhinatha Veylanswami

We should not be afraid of making mistakes, since each mistake is a wonderful opportunity to learn something new, which we do not know. To err is human and to learn and make correction will make us perfect.
