Life is made of lessons. Every day we learn something new and hopefully use it to gain a little more happiness for ourselves, make less mistakes and get a bit closer to the person we want to become.
Every positive thought is a silent prayer that will change our life.
We cannot hang out with negative people and expect to live a positive life.
“It is better to walk alone, than with a crowd going in the wrong direction.” — Diane Grant
When something bad happens, you have three choices: You can either let it define you, let it destroy you or you can let it strengthen you.
A few bad chapters doesn’t mean that the story of our life is a complete failure. It only means that our success is delayed. One has to have confidence in oneself and be persistent in pursuit of one’s goal.
Note to self:
When things feel overwhelming, remember:
One thought at a time
One task at a time
One day at a time
“An arrow can only be shot by pulling it backward. When life is dragging you back with difficulties, it means it’s going to launch you into something great. So, just focus and keep aiming.”
“You get in life what you have the courage to ask for.” — Oprah Winfrey
Procrastination is one of the biggest obstacles on the path to success. We tend to put things off indefinitely. We can’t reach the goal unless we take that first step.
“You don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great.” — Zig Ziglar
Many of us have a tendency to maintain the status quo and a reluctance to get out of the comfort zone. Progress, development and success happens to those who have the courage to get out of their comfort zone.
“Change is hard at first, messy in the middle and gorgeous at the end.” — Robin Sharma
We need to always remember that our present situation is not our final destination. The best is yet to come.
Never lose hope. We never know what tomorrow may bring.
Most of us are unhappy, because we refuse to let go of all those things as well as thoughts and sentiments of past events and experiences that make us sad.
Happiness is a choice, not a result. Nothing will make us happy until we choose to be happy.
As soon as we die, our identity becomes a “body”. People use phrases like: “Bring the body”, “Take the body to the graveyard”, “Lower the body in the grave”, etc. People, whom we tried to impress all our lives, don’t even call us by our name…
Therefore, live a life to impress the Creator not the creation.
We should spend money on the things and beings we love, on those acts which give us a sense of contentment and fulfilment.
Learn to live exclusively in the present moment. Laugh till the stomach hurts. Be child-like.
We are not human beings having spiritual experience. We are spiritual being having human experience.
Therefore, ‘death’ is not the greatest loss. It is just a passing phase.
The greatest loss is when life dies inside us when we are alive.
