Letting Go…
For each of us, there comes a time to let go and move on. You will know when that time has come. When you have done all that you can do, it is time to detach. Deal with your feelings. Face your fears about losing control. Gain control of yourself and your responsibilities. Free others to be who they are. In so doing, you will set yourself free.
To let go doesn’t mean to stop caring;
it means I can do it for someone else.
To let go is not to cut myself off;
it’s the realization that I can’t control another.
To let go is not to enable,
but to allow learning from natural consequences.
To let go is to admit powerlessness,
which means the outcome is not in my hands.
To let go is not to try to change and blame another;
I can only change myself.
To let go is not to fix, but to be supportive.
To let go is not to judge,
but to allow another to be a human being.
To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes,
but to allow others to affect their own outcomes.
To let go is not to be protective;
it is to permit another to face reality.
To let go is not to deny, but to accept.
To let go is not to snag, scold or argue,
but to search out my own shortcomings and to correct them.
To let go is not to criticize and regulate anyone,
but to try to become what I know I can be.
To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires,
but to take each day as it comes and to cherish the moment.
To let go is not to regret the past,
but to grow and to live in the present moment.
To let go is to fear less and to love more.

Swami-ji,
This is a nice article. There are several things in life we keep holding on to, which becomes a burden for us. Just letting it go gives us a tremendous relief and we feel lighter. We should often practise “letting go”. Swami-ji your blessings are always with me and my family.

Losing sense of control is the biggest challenge and the biggest achievement we can make. So much of it is so invisible and disguised though. Thank you for the reminder and putting it in those words.
