The Paradox of Our Times!!!

happyalways

These are the days of disposable diapers, throwaway morality, shallow relationshipsone-night stands, overweight bodies and pills that seem to do everything.

Today we have bigger houses yet smaller families, more convenience, but less time.

We have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider roads, but narrower viewpoints.

We have steep profits, but low generosity.

We have conquered the atom, but not our prejudice.

We have been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the road to meet our neighbors.

We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies, but have less personal communication.

We have conquered our outer space, but not our inner space.

We have higher incomes, but lower morals; higher status, but lower character

We have cleaned up our surroundings, but polluted our mind.

We love too seldom and hate too often.

We have multiplied our possessions, but have reduced our values. We know the price of everything, but value of nothing.

We are more on quantity, but less on quality.

We spend more, but have less. We buy more, yet enjoy it less.

We spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly, stay up too late, wake up too tired, watch TV too much, but read too little and are less considerate.

We have more experts, but more problems. We have more medicines and specialists and super specialists, but less good health.

We have more degrees, but less common sense, more knowledge, but less wisdom. Our knowledge has increased tremendously, but our wisdom has not kept pace with it, which has resulted in poor judgement.

We write more, learn less; plan more, but accomplish less.

We have learned to rush, but not wait — no patience.

We have learned how to make a living, but not how to live. We have added years to life, but not life to years.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion;

More varieties of food, but less nutrition;

More leisure, but less fun;

Two incomes, but more divorce;

Luxurious houses, but broken homes

Therefore, as of today, we should not keep anything for special occasions, because every day we live is a special occasion.

Search for that knowledge, which expands the vision and liberates from narrow prejudices.

Read more; pause and admire the view without paying too much attention to non-essentials.

Give time to love, give time to speak! Give time to share the precious thoughts in your mind.

Spend more time with your loved ones  family and friends, because they are not going to be around forever. Let’s tell our families and friends how much we love them.

Remember to give a warm hug, because that is the only treasure you can give with your heart and it doesn’t cost a penny. A warm hug will mend hurt when it comes from deep within you.

Life is moments of enjoyment of pure joy and not just about surviving.

Drink from the finest crystal glass, if you have. Do not save your best perfume or aftershave, but use it every day.

Remove phrases like “one of these days”, “someday” and “not now” from your vocabulary. Write that letter that you thought of writing “one of these days”.

Do not delay anything that adds laughter and joy to your life.

Every day, every hour and every minute is special, as we do not know if they will be our last.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take,

but by the moments that take our breath away.
